Easttown Twp. Youth Aid Panel In Search Of Volunteers
Will you help juvenile first offenders turn their lives around?

Easttown Township's Youth Aid Panel helps teens who have been arrested for summary level offenses such as underage drinking, retail theft, and marijuana use find a better track for their lives after the offenses happen. And the Youth Aid Panel, run by the Center for Resolutions in Media, is a volunteer organization in need of more volunteers be help these youth turn from the label of “first-time offender” to feeling empowered, educated, and connected to his/her community.
Easttown YAP is looking for volunteers that live or work in the Easttown area to be trained on Nov. 2, Nov. 9, and Nov. 16 at the Center for Resolutions in Media.
Volunteers meet with juveniles after a summary-level arrest to intervene in the lives of these youth as mentors. After an interview with the youth and their parents/guardians, the panel creates resolutions – typically, educational classes, community service, and individually tailored projects – that will help the youth move forward in life in a positive direction.
