The Berwyn Fire Company said an electrical fire broke out Saturday evening and then worsened to a building fire after an explosion.
WAYNE, PA – An electrical fire broke out behind the old Outback Steakhouse at the Gateway Shopping Center Saturday night and spread to a building, according to the Berwyn Fire Company.
At about 7:40 p.m. Saturday, July 21, crews were called to Gateway Shopping Center in Wayne for fire involving electrical wires and brush, the fire company said.
The fire was then upgraded to a building fire after the electrical equipment caused a gas line behind the AT&T store to catch on fire and explode.
