Back again by popular demand! Come learn how to grow your own shiitake mushrooms. Each registrant will be able to take home one, four foot oak log which will be prepared at the workshop and inoculated with fungal mycelium. Each log should be able to produce luscious shiitake mushrooms several times a year for 2-3 years or until the log has decomposed.

Instructor Doug Blank will lead the workshop along with Jenkins Arboretum's Director, Harold Sweetman, who will assist with a biological science discussion.

Cost: $25 for members, $35 for non-members. Pre-registration is required. Class size is limited
