Delve into portraiture through painting directly from a model. Students will learn to examine skin tone quality in terms of color temperatures and opacity by working with a limited by useful palette of color. Participants will also pay attention to proportion and the drawing of features, simplification of tones, creating a sense of light, and our ability to see! Class demos, critiques, and one-on-one attention provided. Drawing experience is highly recommended. Some experience with oils useful.
