Friends Of Easttown Library Hosting Alfred Hitchcock Film Festival

The festival will show four films in three days and a include discussion with Cabrini English professor Paul Wright.

Alfred Hitchcock is one of the most legendary filmmakers of all time and has inspired many modern filmmakers to give us our favorite movies.

The Friends of Easttown Library wants to honor Hitchcock's work and legacy with an Alfred Hitchcock Film Festival Thursday, Feb. 23 through Saturday, Feb. 25.

You can buy a $25 weekend pass that will get you four screenings, a discussion with Cabrini University English professor Paul Wright, and on March 19 a special screening of "The Birds" a tour of Phoenixville's Colonial Theater on March 19 and a screening of the 2015 documentary "Hitchcock/Truffaut."

Ticekts for single screenings are available at the door on the day of the screening. Check out the schedule below:

  • Thursday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m.: Opening Night Gala, Cocktails, sweets & savories, and entertainment
    • The Lady Vanishes, MGM, 1938, 97 min.
  • Friday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m.: A Bit of Bubbly, Wine and cheese
    • To Catch a Thief, Paramount Pictures, 1955, 103 min.
  • Saturday, Feb., 25: Muffins and MacGuffins, Refreshments throughout the day
    • 10 a.m., The 39 Steps, MGM, 1935, 87 min.
    • 1 p.m., Speaker Paul Wright, Cabrini University
    • 2:30 p.m., Rebecca, Walt Disney Pictures, 1940, 130 min.
