Library Party for Kids at 4:40
Tredyffrin and Paoli Libraries "One World, Many Stories" programs put the "fun" in summer reading fundamentals with a kick-off event Friday afternoon.
Have fun and help your student get a jump on summer reading from 4:30-6:30 at the Paoli Fire Company. The Philadelphia Zoo's Zoo on Wheels will be on hand for the event which will also feature live entertainment by local performers.
The party is open to the public and Tredyffrin and Paoli Public Libraries staff will be available to help students sign up for the libraries' Summer Reading Club. Students who reach the program's reading goals over the summer can enter to win prizes, including an iPod Shuffle. To be eligible participants need to be signed up for all 8 weeks of the qualifying period, which beings on Monday, June 20th. Students can sign up at the party or beginning Monday at the Tredyffrin and Paoli Libraries.
Fire trucks, zoo animals, live performers, and getting a jump on summer reading are all on the menu. For complete information about the event and the libraries' summer programs, which include movies, live performers, reading events and other special days click here.
