Harvest Offering 'Impossible' Meatballs In New Summer Menu

WAYNE, PA – With summer here, Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar is offering up special summer seasonal dishes, and one vegetarian option may leave meat-eaters satisfied.
Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar CEO Dave Magrogan and Executive Chef Josh Short are serving up the summer menu now.
Among the new menu items, which includes a variety of flatbreads, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, seafood, meat, poultry and vegetarian dishes, Harvest has introduced their new Heirloom Tomato Salad, as well as a Citrus-Grilled Halibut, and maybe most notably, Impossible Meatballs — delicious vegan meatballs utilizing Bill Gates-backed Impossible Foods’ plant-based protein.

"The Impossible Meatballs are very exciting, especially after the absolutely incredible response we received from introducing the Impossible Burger," Short said. "They include saffron polenta, spiral noodle, fire-roast tomato sauce, herbed breadcrumb and nutritional yeast, is completely gluten-free and vegan, yet somehow still tastes like meat. We definitely expect this to become a staple on our menu, given the incredibly positive response to our Impossible Burgers by vegetarians, vegans and carnivores alike. We also introduced our Heirloom Tomato Salad, which we couldn't not do, as our culinary team and guests adore the amazing tomatoes that are grown in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey soil."
Short also revamped his Summer Crab Cakes, and introduced a new Cuban Black Bean & Rice Bowl.

"Our goal when developing these new dishes was to really raise the bar and take quality, flavor and ingredients to the next level. We are really happy with these additions," he said. "There are just layers and layers of delicious flavors."
Among the summertime favorites which returned to the menu are the Nutty Watermelon Salad; BBQ Pulled Pork Flatbread; Seared Sea Scallops; and Summer Tuna Tartare.

"Between the returning dishes which have been summer staples for the past couple of years, along with some of these new dishes, we are super excited for what's in store at Harvest this summer," said Magrogan. "The first week has already been hugely successful, with many customers raving about our new dishes, and the reaction to the Impossible Meatballs has been similar to that of the Impossible Burger when we unveiled that earlier this year. Our relationship with the Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative (LFFC) continues to grow stronger and stronger, and they're providing us with the freshest and tastiest fruits and vegetables for us to feature on our summer menu."
