Heaberg ahead of Duffy by Three Votes in New Vote Counting

Duffy supporter and Heaberg confirm unofficial results after a marathon day of ballot counting.

A small cadre of lawyers, political party representatives, county voting officials and the candidates themselves spent most of Monday behind closed doors in West Chester counting the votes from the May 17th's special election for an at-large seat on the Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors.

Monday night a Molly Duffy supporter who said she had spent part of the day drafting a victory press release told Patch that incumbent Republican Mike Heaberg now appears to have won by three votes.

The election results are not yet certified. That could take another three weeks. Monday Heaberg, who was appointed to the seat in February, took his usual seat at the Board of Supervisors meeting.
