In Pennsylvania, Slots Revenue Falls Again

Slots revenue fell again in Pennsylvania in fiscal year 2013-2014.
During the fiscal year that ended June 30, revenue from slots at Pennsylvania's 12 casinos was $2,319,890,598, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said this week.
In fiscal year 2012-2013, slots revenue was $2,428,887,430, which means revenue fell 4.5 percent year over year, the GCB said.
The biggest loser was Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack, which saw revenue fall 12.24 percent. By contrast, Valley Forge Casino Resort had revenue gains of 22.59 percent, the GCB said.
Though revenue at Parx Casino was down about 5.76 percent, it still brought in the highest slots revenue of any casino in the state, with gross revenue of $376,418,086, the GCB.

Since 2006, when the first slot machine casino opened in Pennsylvania, total tax revenue from slots has been $8.35 billion.
