Kids On Bikes Playing 'Chicken' With Vehicles: Tredyffrin Police

Police said they've gotten reports of kids riding bikes in Chesterbrook playing "chicken" with oncoming vehicles.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Tredyffrin Township are urging parents to get their kids to stop playing "chicken" with vehicles while they ride bikes.

According to police, kids on bikes have been playing chicken with oncoming vehicles in the Chesterbrook development in Tredyffrin.

In the "game," kids ride bikes toward oncoming vehicles and swerve away at the last moment.

Police said not only is this "game" extremely dangerous, it is illegal.

The photo above was given to police by a concerned citizen, police said. That citizen told police the group pictured forced the driver to stop then was taunted by the group.

"Parents, PLEASE speak with your kids about this issue," police said on Facebook. "You do not want to receive a phone call or visit from us if your child is caught doing this, and we really don’t want to make a visit to inform a parent their child was hurt while doing this."
