Knox Covered Bridge Reopens After Falling Tree Damaged Structure
Built in 1865, the covered steel stringer bridge is 55-feet-long, 12-feet-wide, and carries approximately 1,604 vehicles per day.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — PennDOT has reopened Knox Covered Bridge over Valley Creek in Tredyffrin Township after a tree damaged the bridge in August.
The bridge closed Aug. 22 when a tree fell and crashed through the historic structure.
PennDOT said repair work is complete, and the road is open again.
