Lenten Sermon Series Announced

During Sunday worship in Lent, with the exception of April 6, Trinity Presbyterian Church located in Berwyn, PA will be having a sermon series on some of the last words of Christ from the cross, lead by Pastor Rev. Elisabeth Hartwell.  After worship each Sunday, there will be a luncheon and time for additional study on the scripture from that morning’s sermon.  The following is an overview of what we’ll experience during Lent.
 

1st Sunday in Lent- March 9; communion; John 19:30- “It is finished.”

2nd Sunday in Lent- March 16; Luke 23:46-49- “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit.”

3rd Sunday in Lent- March 23; John 19:28-29- “I am thirsty.”

4th Sunday in Lent- March 30; Matthew 27:45-49- “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

5th Sunday in Lent- April 6; Anthems and Meditations - Chancel Choir

Palm Sunday- April 13; Luke 23:39-43- “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

Maundy Thursday- April 17 @ 7:30 p.m.; tenebrae service with communion by intinction.

Easter Sunday- April 20; sunrise service at Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens at 6:30 a.m. (sunrise is at 6:16 a.m.); Easter service at 10:00 a.m.; Easter Egg Hunt immediately following the service.
