Main Line Man Sentenced To 100 Years In PA's Largest Child Bust

Lawrence Jamieson sexually abused a minor girl, took photos and videos of the abuse, and had a collection of 14.4 million child porn images.

A Main Line man was ordered to spend a century in federal prison after sexually abusing a minor girl who has Autism and taking hundreds of videos and photos of the abuse. He also maintained a collection of more than 14.4 million images of child pornography that he downloaded from the internet.

Lawrence Jamieson, 59, of Malvern, was sentenced Monday to 100 years in federal prison for his actions, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Jamieson began collecting images of children being sexually assaulted approximately 15 years ago, authorities said.

He collected some of the most demented images imaginable of toddlers and infants being sexually assaulted by adult men and women, and in some cases, by animals, according to federal officials.

During the same time that he was trafficking in child pornography, Jamieson’s conduct escalated, and he engaged in a plot to sexually assault a victim child who was in his care, federal authorities said.

Jamieson was well acquainted with the victim; he knew she had been diagnosed on the Autism spectrum and suffered from learning disabilities and mental health issues, authorities said.

He targeted this underage girl by first recruiting another adult male to pose as a teenaged boy so that they could dupe the victim into believing he was her boyfriend and gain her trust, according to officials.

The "boyfriend" then engaged her in sexual activity, photographed and videotaped her, and distributed the videos and images back to Jamieson, authorities said. Her images were also distributed to others over the internet, authorities said.

Jamieson was arrested March 2, 2017.

"Jamieson is the worst of the worst type of criminal – a child predator who derives satisfaction from abusing society’s must vulnerable members," said U.S. Attorney McSwain. "The details in this case are horrific. This defendant amassed a collection of child pornography that exceeded 14.4 million images, reportedly the largest collection in Pennsylvania. And on top of that, he concocted and carried out a plan to sexually abuse a child within his care – someone he knew was susceptible to his influence. For more than 18 months, Jamieson and his co-defendant repeatedly lied to his victim and engaged in an unconscionable course of sexual abuse and exploitation."

U.S. Attorney McSwain continued, "When it comes to protecting children from child predators, our actions will be swift and severe. Predators, take note: No matter who you are or where you come from, we will hunt you down, prosecute you, and put you in a jail cell for a very long time.”

The case was investigated by the FBI, the Willistown Police Department, and the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michelle Rotella.
