Malvern Federal Savings Bank Helping Local Students
Awards $12,000 grant to FLITE to fund academic programs

Malvern Federal Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Malvern Federal Savings Bank, awarded the Foundation for Learning In Tredyffrin/Easttown (FLITE) a $12,000 grant to fund academic programs that help T/E students achieve in the classroom. The funds will be used to provide educational programs and tools to local children who would not otherwise have access to them, including the Afterschool Homework Program, School Supplies and Preschool Tuition Assistance. Anthony Weagley, President and CEO of Malvern Federal Savings Bank, noted, “FLITE’s programs are impacting the lives of hundreds of local kids every year. Our grant is intended to assist FLITE in continuing the effort to improve the lives of pre-school through high school students in the classroom and, thus, better prepare them for life.”
Upon accepting the check, FLITE Board Member Paige Skelly, stated “Malvern Federal Charitable Foundation and Malvern Federal Savings Bank have been generous supporters of FLITE for many years. Their support enables FLITE to provide the tools, support and opportunities needed by many students in our school district. We value our partnership with Malvern Federal and know that together we can make a difference in our community.”

FLITE is an all-volunteer non-profit foundation that helps to ensure that all students in Tredyffrin/Easttown Schools, especially those who face barriers to their educational success, have the opportunities, support, and academic tools they need to succeed in school.
