Mobile Mammogram Van Coming to Tredyffrin

Screenings will be available at a senior living expo on Sept. 8 at the Tredyffrin Municipal Building.

On Thursday, Sept. 8, Fox Chase Cancer Center will offer mammograms at a Senior Living Expo sponsore by State Representative Warren Kampf’s (R-157).

Screenings are available to women over the age of 40 whose last screening was more than a year ago. The expo will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the .

A Kampf spokesman told Patch that “When constituents sign up for the event, if they are interested in the mammography van, we contact Fox Chase on their behalf - Fox Chase calls them and takes care of the insurance end of the deal.”

Interested women must be pre-registered and approved for the mobile mammography van, and then appointments are scheduled throughout the day.

In addition to the mammography van, the event features tables staffed by local state government representatives and experts on issues affecting seniors and their families.
