Son Kills Mother In Main Line Murder-Suicide: Authorities
Officials said the son shot and killed his mother before taking his own life in the Main Line home.

Authorities have confirmed the deaths of a man and woman at a Main Line residence were the result of a murder suicide and that the victims were a mother and son.
The Delaware County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the victims were mother and son and that the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide in Radnor Township.
Devon Byrd, 23, shot and killed his mother, Alita Byrd, 50, before taking his own life, according to the ME's office.

Radnor Police discovered the deaths after being called to a home on the 200 block of Highland Avenue the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 31 by a neighbor who said they had not seen anyone at the house in about a week.
When police entered the home, they found a man and woman dead, later identified as Devon and Alita Byrd, from gunshot wounds in the home's first floor.

Several firearms were found in the home, police said.
They may have been dead in the home for several days, police said.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
