New Officer Joins Tredyffrin Township Police Department

Sean Munro served as a Philadelphia Police Department Officer for five years. He's bringing his experience to Tredyffrin. Welcome aboard!

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA – The Tredyffrin Township Police Department officially has a new member as their newest officer was sworn in Monday.

Officer Sean Munro was sworn in Monday by Magisterial District Judge Analisa Sondergaard, family, friends, and fellow officers.

Munro's wife Katie held the Bible upon which he swore.

Munro did five years of policing in Philadelphia with the Philadelphia Police Department and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Bloomsburg University.

The hiring of Munro filled a vacancy in the ranks left by the retirement of 26-year police veteran Sgt. Todd Bereda.

Munro is scheduled to begin field training this week.
