New Start, End Times Grow Closer At TESD Schools
The Tredyffrin/Easttown School Board Education Committee is recommending later start times at all education levels.
BERWYN, PA — New start times for Tredyffrin/Easttown School District schools are closer to becoming real as officials recommended moving ahead with the time shifts.
The School Board Education Committee met on Feb. 14 and subsequently recommended adjusting school start times effective August 2019.
According to the district, the next phase in the process includes gathering feedback to assess the impact of the proposed change on students, parents and staff.

A public presentation and discussion on the school start time option will be held at the Feb. 25 regular school board meeting. No vote on start times will be taken at the meeting.

See proposed new start and end times for the 2019-2020 school year below:
- High School: 7:50 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.
- Middle Schools: 8:27 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.
- Elementary Schools: 9:10 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Current start and end times are:
- High School: 7:20 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
- Middle Schools: 7:50 a.m. - 2:33 p.m.
- Elementary Schools: 8:45 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.
