Overnight Brush Fire Lights Up Near Route 202 In Tredyffrin

An overnight brush fire lit up alongside Route 202 near Chesterbrook Boulevard in Tredyffrin Township, the Berwyn Fire Company said.

The incident was first reported at 2:21 a.m. early Tuesday.

Upon arriving on the scene, crews noted an area described as "50 feet by 20 feet" of brush covered in fire on the side of the highway.

Authorities said that the dry and windy conditions helped the fire to spread rapidly.

Traffic was slowed and controlled as the firefighters worked. Responders were able to beat the blaze down and were clear of the scene by 3:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
