Pa. Unemployment Rate at a Six-Year Low

Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate fell to a six-year low in October, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry said Friday.
The October 2014 Employment Situation Report shows the state unemployment rate is 5.4 percent, the Department of Labor & Industry said.
The federal unemployment rate for October 2014 was 5.8 percent.

“The commonwealth’s rate was down by 1.7 percentage points from last October while the national rate declined by 1.4,” the Department of Labor & Industry said.
