Paoli Bank Robber Caught Hiding In Dumpster: Police

Police found suspect after witnesses saw him running along train tracks.

Tredyffrin Township Police said Tuesday they arrested a man accused of robbing the Paoli Wells Fargo Bank after finding him hiding in a Dumpster. The suspect was remanded to the Chester County Prison where he awaits a preliminary hearing.

According to court documents, Olajide "Jimmy" Agoro, 20, of Philadelphia, was charged with felony criminal attempted robbery, inflict serious bodily injury; felony terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another; possessing an instrument of crime; criminal attempted theft by unlawful taking; disorderly conduct, hazardous or physical offense; and harassment.

According to police, Agoro entered the bank in the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 17 and handed the teller a note saying he had a gun. Police said Agoro fled the scene before they arrived, but witnesses reported seeing a man with Agoro's description running along railroad tracks.

Officers searched the area Agoro was seen and found him hiding in a Dumpster, police said.

According to police, Agoro was wearing a red jacket, blue jeans and a dreadlock wig at the time of the robbery, all of which police recovered near the bank.

Olajide Agoro was seen on security footage when attempting to rob the Paoli Wells Fargo Bank Monday.

Agoro was processed, and a video preliminary arraignment was held before Magisterial District Judge Scott Massey of the Oxford District Court, police said. Agoro was held on $50,000 cash bail and remanded to the Chester County Prison pending his preliminary hearing on Friday, Oct. 21 with Magisterial District Judge Analisa Sondergaard, police said.

Tredyffrin police were assisted by units from Malvern Borough, Willistown Township and Easttown Township police departments, police said.
