PAOLI’S NEW PURENERGY STUDIO DAZZLES

PAOLI’S NEW PURENERGY STUDIO DAZZLES WITH SAFE, SMART, STATE-OF-THE-ART FITNESS

Offers Aerial Yoga, Stadium Cycling, Pilates, Barre, Boxing and more

Five of the area’s most seasoned fitness professionals have joined forces to open Purenergy Studio. The stunning new facility in Paoli’s Depot Shoppes offers a comprehensive array of yoga, Pilates, barre, Zumba, indoor cycling, boxing, interval and fusion classes for all levels, ages and physical abilities. “Purenergy is unique to the area – we combine the variety of a larger fitness club with the intimacy of a boutique studio,” said co-owner Chris Somers.

Several offerings are new to the western Main Line, including Aerial Yoga, CoreAlign Pilates, Ugi, Bokwa and stadium cycling with Performance IQ and virtual (video) rides. Another Purenergy exclusive is HIT (High Intensity Training) in the Zone Training Studio. Zone classes combine interval cardio training with functional strength work on treadmills, water rowers (Indo-Row), TRX suspension trainers, kettlebells, Ugi balls and boxing bags. In all, 90 classes are scheduled weekly in five spacious Purenergy studios.

“We put a lot of thought into the safety and effectiveness of everything we offer,” said Suzanne Olson, another co-owner.  Olson said she and her partners spent the last few years visiting cutting-edge studios from Los Angeles to Manhattan and hired only the “best of the best” instructors for Purenergy. “Most hold multiple certifications and are industry veterans. They’re multi-dimensional,” Olson said. Beginning participants in Pilates, Spin and Zone are encouraged to take foundation classes to learn proper form and to maximize effectiveness. “Our studio is designed to be intimate, not intimidating,” Olson said.

Purenergy welcomes male and female participants of all ages. Special classes for youth include Pink Karate, aerial yoga, dance-fitness and Teen Zone. A viewing area allows parents and caretakers to watch their children in action. Morning childcare is available and fitness and wellness workshops are also planned.

Purenergy’s fees are based on usage. Participants can enroll in one of three flexible monthly plans ($60 - $140) with month-to-month rollover or can buy passes for 10 or 20 visits or three months of unlimited visits. New clients can sample Purenergy with a 10-day unlimited pass for $39. Grand opening discounts of 20 percent will be offered for a limited time. “Whether you enjoy us six times a month or several times a week or, we’re confident people will see the quality of our programs,” said Somers. “Everything you need for total mind-body fitness and wellness is under one roof.”

Five longtime local fitness pros own and operate Purenergy: Somers, formerly of Club La Maison Health and Fitness in Wayne and The Aquatic and Fitness Center in Bala Cynwyd; Olson, formerly the Group Fitness, spin, barre and Pilates director at Club La Maison in Wayne, Debbie Small formerly of Club La Maison, Valerie Grant, an independent Pilates and Feldenkrais specialist, and Brenda Elko, formerly of the Fairmount Athletic Club and other fitness centers.
