Patch 101: Let Patch Help You Find Lost Pets

Few things are as upsetting as pet owners as when a beloved animal disappears. Sometimes phone calls and wanted posters just aren't enough to bring our furry friends home when they vanish.

If you haven't already, take a photo of your pet and keep it on your computer. If your pet should "run away from home" or somehow disappear, post an announcement on Patch and you'll get the word out quickly.

Posting a Missing Pet Announcement on TE Patch is Easy.

If you need to walk someone through the process over the phone or if you can't find this article with the link, here are the two steps to find the announcement form:

1. First, click the bolded "Announcements" link under the "News" tab at the top of any page. 
2. Then click "Add an Announcement" on the right-hand side of the page.

From there, enter a title and whatever information you want about your pet. Make sure you select the "Lost and Found" category under "Column."

To help neighbors better identify your pet, we suggest you also upload photographs of your pet by clicking "Upload Photos and Videos."
