PECO contractors will be working on an infrastructure improvement project along nine roads in Tredyffrin Township through early August.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — PECO work in Tredyffrin Township will begin next week on nine local roads, and the work is expected to last through early August.
According to officials, PECO crews will begin working Monday on a $1.3 million infrastructure project to help the local grid withstand more frequent and damaging storms, improve reliability by reducing the frequency of outages that cannot be prevented, and support the adoption of cleaner energy resources such as solar and electric vehicles.
This work will take place on Westwind Drive, Contention Lane, Winston Way, Stuart Lane, Tory Hollow Road, Cassatt Road, Coldstream Drive, Churchill Drive, and Old State Road.

Any impacted portions of yards or streets will be restored to prior condition.
New equipment, including pad-mount transformers, could be installed or replaced as necessary, officials said. These are necessary to improve reliability throughout neighborhoods and require several feet of clearance to allow for future maintenance.
The work will be performed by PECO crews and qualified PECO contractors.
PECO said it has developed a plan to minimize direct customer impact as much as possible and to complete the project in a safe and timely manner.
Workers may need to temporarily interrupt service to safely complete some of this work, and PECO said it will work with residents to ensure they are informed before these activities and any planned interruptions.
