Pickpocketing, Theft, Disturbing The Peace Mark Latest Tredyffrin Police Blotter

Several arrested were made between April 10 and April 24, including some for thefts, possession, and public drunkenness.

TREDYFFRIN, PA – Tredyffrin Township Police released its latest crime update, highlighting police activity in the township from April 10 to April 24.

April 10, 11:13 a.m., Stay Dog Pet Training in Berwyn – After an investigation was conducted, it was determined that an employee was stealing pet training supplies from the company, as well as landscaping and construction tools and selling the items to area pawn shops. The actor – Michael Bramble, 43, of Norwood – was subsequently charged with theft by unlawful taking; receiving stolen property and theft from a motor vehicle. Bramble was unable to post the $5,000 bail and was taken to Chester County Prison by Constables.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS

April 12, 11:01 a.m., BMW of Devon – A 42-year-old male from King of Prussia was charged with public drunkenness after he caused a disturbance at the dealership.

ROAD RAGE

April 12, 11:56 a.m., Route 252 – A 57-year-old female from Devon was charged with disorderly conduct after she was involved in a road rage incident.

RETAIL THEFT

April 14, 4:30 p.m., Famous Footwear store in Gateway Shopping Center – Police charged Alicia Samms, 52, of Wayne, with retail theft after officers observed several new pairs of shoes in her vehicle that were not paid for.

RETAIL THEFT

April 14, 5:25 p.m., Gateway Shopping Center – Police responded to Famous Footwear for the report of a retail theft of merchandise from Famous Footwear and Carter’s store. One actor, a 28-year-old female from Philadelphia was charged with a summary offense retail theft, and Sharnell Jones, 32, of Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft, receiving stolen property and possession of an instrument of crime due to having a box cutter in her possession.

HARASSMENT

200 block of Upper Gulph Road in Wayne – A 36-year-old male from Philadelphia was charged with harassment when he continued unwanted text communication with the victim after officers told him to cease.

POSSESSION

April 19, 12:45 a.m., Route 252 – Tyler Johnston, 19, of Aston, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia during a traffic stop.

PICKPOCKET

April 19, 4:36 p.m., Panera Bread in Gateway Shopping Center – The victim reported their credit card company inquired about transactions on the credit card at Nordstrom’s while the victim was still dining in the restaurant. It was then the victim discovered her wallet stolen. The case is under investigation.

POSSESSION

April 20, 8:46 p.m., Route 202 – Kyjuan Lewis, 18, of Martinsburg, Virginia, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia during a traffic stop.

DISTURBING THE PEACE

April 20, 9:56 p.m., East Conestoga Road in Devon – Police were dispatched to the report of a loud party. The college-student renters of the house, three females, age 22 and a male, age 21, were all charged with disturbing the peace for violating the noise ordinance.

STOLEN CHECK

April 21, 4:06 p.m., 500 block of Cassatt Road in Berwyn – The victim reported a check they were to receive for payment was fraudulently cashed by an unknown actor. The case is under investigation.

THEFT ARREST

After a lengthy investigation was conducted, detectives charged Jeffrey Soowal, 39, of Philadelphia, with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after he stole computers from his place of employment and sold them to a store who in turn resold the stolen equipment.

POSSESSION

April 24, 7:15 p.m., Route 202 – Police charged Tara McGlinchey, 18, of West Chester, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia during a traffic stop.
