Police Remind Residents to Lock Cars Following Thefts

Cash and electronics have been stolen recently from unlocked vehicles.

Tredyffrin Township Police are reminding residents to lock their cars following two reported thefts from vehicles in the township. In neither case was the vehicle locked.

In the first theft, the victim reported to police that their vehicle was entered sometime overnight on Sept. 11 while it was parked on the 400 block of Huntington Drive in Wayne.

Several credit cards, cash and an ID were stolen, police said. Fraudulent charges of $140 were made on the stolen cards.

The second theft occurred around 11:45 a.m. Sept. 12 on Fletcher Road in Wayne, police said. A road surveyor reported to police that his phone was stolen out of his vehicle after he stepped away briefly. The phone is valued at $650, police said.
