Police Urge Scam Victims to File a Complaint

The information will be used to identify and combat Internet crime, police said.

Have you been the victim of a scam, or an attempted scam?

Tredyffrin Township Police are urging residents who have been scam victims to register a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center.

Known at the IC3, the Center is using these complaints to identify and combat Internet crime, police said.

Tredyffrin Police said scam examples include:

  • Charitable Contributions Fraud
  • Counterfeit Check Fraud
  • International Fraud
  • Investment Fraud
  • Online Pharmaceutical Fraud
  • Phishing
  • Work-at-home scams

If you have been the victim of such a scam, you can visit www.ic3.com to file a complaint, police said.
