Power Lines Downed After Car Strikes Pole: Berwyn Fire Co

The single-car crash brought down power lines and forced a portion of Lancaster Avenue to close for several hours in Berwyn early Thursday.

BERWYN, PA — A single car crash brought power lines down in Berwyn early Thursday morning and closed a portion of Lancaster Avenue, the Berwyn Fire Company said.

According to the fire company, the crash occurred at about 4:26 a.m. on the 1300 block of Lancaster Avenue in the Berwyn section of Tredyffrin Township.

Crews found a vehicle crashed into a telephone pole, bringing the pole and power lines down causing the road to be blocked.

The fire company said the drive was not hurt in the crash.

The crash closed Lancaster Avenue between Glenn Avenue and Berwyn-Paoli Road for several hours, the fire company said.
