He allegedly suggested the girl should perform oral sex on him once she graduated from high school.

DOWNINGTOWN, PA --A Chester County high school chemistry teacher has been charged with allegedly sexting with a 16-year-old girl, according to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office.

Brandon Keith Mitchell, 30, of West Chester, taught at Downingtown West High School from November 2010 until April 2015, when he was suspended due to the investigation into his actions.

Mitchell allegedly solicited the girl, a student of his, to send him nude photographs of herself and other explicit messages, the DA said.

Mitchell sent her 20 nude photographs of himself, and received 10 nude photographs and a video in from the girl, according to the DA.

An investigation revealed more than 12,000 text messages exchanged between the two from May 2013 until December 2014. Mitchell allegedly told the girl to delete the conversations, but police were still able to recover condemning details, they said.

In one recovered message from June of 2013, Mitchell suggested the girl should perform oral sex on him once she graduated from high school.

Mitchell was arrested on February 3. A preliminary heaing is set for March 9.

“This defendant used his position of trust and authority to engage in serious misconduct with a student,” said District Attorney Chief of Staff Charles Gaza. “As always in cases like this, where a teacher had access to hundreds of students over multiple years, the authorities are concerned that there may be other victims out there.”
