State Rep Honors Recognizes Tredyffrin Historic House Tour

TREDYFFRIN, PA — A local state representative recognized the Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust's 15th Annual Historic House Tour Thursday.

State Rep. Melissa Shusterman, D-Chester/Montgomery, presented Pattye Benson, president of the Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust, with a House citation in honor of the tour Thursday.

The historic house tour is a longstanding community tradition.

This year, money raised by the tour will go toward the completion of the Jones Log Barn project, which will serve as a living history center

"I’m honored to be a part of this long-loved tradition, and I was proud to present the citation to Pattye Benson on Thursday," Shusterman said. "I look forward to seeing the interactive history center once it’s completed because I know it will be an asset to our community."

The tour will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 28 rain or shine.

Attendees will be able to tour the interiors and gardens of historic homes featured on the 2018 Historic House Tour. The 2019 house tour features historic homes and gardens in Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships.

The house tour ticket pick-up location for 2019 is Tredyffrin Library, 582 Upper Gulph Road, Strafford, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
