The Woodlynde School is a K-12 college-prep school for students with learning differences in Strafford.

TREDYFFRIN, PA -- Matthew Rueter, a senior at Woodlynde School, a K-12 college-prep school for students with learning differences in Strafford, was recognized by NBC-10 and Widener University as a 2016 High School Leadership Award recipient, a news release states.
As one of several students selected for the award from schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, Rueter has the opportunity to attend a leadership conference at Widener University and a recognition breakfast at the National Constitution Center. He will also receive a $20,000 scholarship awarded over four years if he chooses to enroll at Widener University, according to a news release.
Each year, principals from schools across the Greater Philadelphia Region nominate one junior from their school for the award. Award recipients are then selected based on their leadership skills, academic excellence, and exceptional character shown through their participation in extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and demonstration of being a positive influence on their peers, the release states.
