Suspected Wayne Credit Card Thieves Spotted In Ardmore

The pair here tried to use what was likely a stolen credit card in Ardmore and are suspected of stealing credit cards in Wayne Nov. 18.

WAYNE, PA — A pair of people suspected of stealing credit cards from a shopper at the Wayne Trader Joe's may have tried to use another stolen card in Ardmore, according to police.

According to Lower Merion Township Police, the two above tired to buy several $500 gift cards at the Ardmore CVS using an unknown credit card, which was likely stolen, and possibly from a shopper at the Wayne Trader Joe's on Nov. 18.

During that incident, the victim had her purse stolen while she was shopping at Trader Joe’s and her credit cards were used at the nearby stores in the King of Prussia area.

According to police, the pair match the description people involved in that theft.

A store employee asked the woman to show her identification when trying to buy the gift cards, but the woman only showed it from a distance, police said.

The woman then said she had a better form of ID in her car, then she and the man left the store on foot and did not return, police said.
