T/E School Board: Adopts $166.6M Budget, Calling For 2.9% Tax Hike
The 2022-2023 budget was approved by an 8-1 vote Monday night during a meeting in the high school cafeteria.

TREDYFFRIN/EASTTOWN —Tredyffrin/Easttown school board voted Monday night 8 to 1 to adopt a $166.6 million school budget for the 2022-2023 school year, calling for a 2.9 percent property tax increase.
The tax increase translates into a $190 increase in taxes for the average taxpayer with a home assessed at $256,655.
The average tax bill amounts to $6,396.

The millage increase is .7408 from the previous years. The tax rate is $25.85 pre $1,000 of assessed property value.
The district has 6,957 students and covers Tredyffrin and Easttown townships. Niche.com ranked Tredyffrin-Easttown School District as #2 in the state.

A total of 11,042 property owners will receive a $240 tax reduction each, according to Arthur J. McDonnell, business manager.
The budget includes $4 million for capital improvement projects, which includes improvements to athletic facilities.
