TESD Addresses Suspicious Stranger Incident
An elementary school student was followed and honked at by a woman in a vehicle on Wednesday, May 31, according to the district.

BERWYN, PA – A Tredyffrin/Easttown School District student was followed and honked at by a woman in a vehicle last week. District officials released a letter to the community addressing the incident, urging student safety.
According to the district, a male Valley Forge Elementary student was walking home Wednesday, May 31 when a woman about 40 years old drove up to him as he was walking.
The district said the woman asked the student if he was going to cross the road, with the student responding "no."

The district said she then followed the young student and honked her horn at him several times before stopping her car in the middle of the street.
When the a nearby crossing guard saw the car and began walking toward it, the district said the woman drove away on Anthony Wayne Road.

"Please remind your students to follow safety precautions as they travel to and from school," Andrea Chipego, the district's Director of Individualized Student Services said in the letter to the community. "In partnership, we will continue to provide a safe and secure learning environment for all of the member of our school community."
The district said the vehicle in question was described as looking like a silver Honda CRV.
The tentative last day of school for TESD students is Wednesday June 14 and will be an early dismissal day.
