TESD Elementary Schools Closing Early Due To High Heat Again

The district said it will release elementary students on a modified dismissal schedule Tuesday and Wednesday due to high heat.

BERWYN, PA – All Tredyffrin/Easttown elementary schools will be let out on a modified dismissal schedule Tuesday and Wednesday due to high heat, the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District said.

All T/E elementary schools will follow a modified dismissal schedule at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 4 and Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Morning kindergarten will dismiss at its regular time.

Grades 1 through 4 will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. with lunch being served before dismissal.

Afternoon kindergarten will follow its regular schedule of 12:20 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. and hold classes in air conditioned spaces in the school.

Middle and high schools will dismiss at their regularly scheduled times.

Parents and guardians should contact their child’s school if you are unable to arrange for someone to receive your child at home Tuesday and Wednesday, and the district will make arrangements to hold your child until you can come to the school to transport them home.

The district said it will continue to monitor the temperatures and forecast for later in the week and make a decision about dismissal times for Thursday, Sept. 6 at a later time.
