TESD Elementary Schools Dismissing Early Again Thursday

Tredyffrin/Easttown Elementary Schools will let elementary students out at 12:30 p.m. Thursday as heat plagues the Philadelphia region.

BERWYN, PA – Tredyffrin/Easttown School District elementary schools are again dismissing students early Thursday due to high heat.

The district said all elementary schools will follow a modified dismissal schedule at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6.

Morning kindergarten will dismiss at its regular time with grades 1 through 4 dismissing at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served prior to dismissal.

Afternoon kindergarten will follow its regular schedule of 12:20 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. and hold classes in air-conditioned spaces in the school.

Middle and high schools will dismiss at their regularly scheduled times.

Parents and guardians should contact their child’s school if they are unable to arrange for someone to receive their children at home tomorrow, and the district said it will make arrangements to hold children until someone can come to the school to transport them home.

The district anticipates a regular school day on Friday, Sept 7.
