TESD Voting On Preliminary 2020-2021 Budget Monday
If the school board votes to approve the budget, residents will be closer to seeing a 2.6 percent property tax increase.
BERWYN, PA — The Tredyffrin/Easttown Board of School Directors will vote on the preliminary 2020-2021 budget Monday night, and if it passes residents will see a tax increase.
Officials will vote tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the T/E School District Administration Offices, 940 West Valley Road, Suite 1700 in Wayne.
The budget features a 2.6 percent property tax increase to address a projected $7 million deficit.

The proposed property tax rate increase of 2.6 percent is the legislated Act 1 index.
Residents can see the 2020-2021 proposed preliminary budget at the T/E School District Administration Offices.

A preliminary budget approval is only the first step in the development of the final 2020-2021 budget.
The Board will continue to deliberate the budget and property tax rate increase until final adoption in June.
Upcoming budget meetings are:
- March 9 – Budget Workshop I
- April 13 – Budget Workshop II
- April 27 – Adopt Proposed Final Budget
- June 8 – Adopt Final Budget
Public participation during the budget development process and endeavors is encouraged to reflect the input of joint stakeholders.
All School Board committee meetings are open to the public and have public comment periods. Meeting dates and agendas are available on the T/E School District website. In addition, public comments may be submitted to Arthur J. McDonnell, Business Manager, or to the T/E School Board.
