Thriller Author And Villanova Law Prof Coming To Tredyffrin Library
John F. Dobbyn will sign books and visit with guests Thursday, Oct. 13.
Valley Forge's John F. Dobbyn, noted author and Villanova law professor, will sign books and visit with guests at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13 at the Tredyffrin Public Library.
Dobbyn will be discussing his newest book, Fatal Odds, which continues the saga of legal detective team Michael Knight and Lex Devlin as they expose the role of their client jockey in a fixed race that leads to murder.
Dobbyn's career as an author began when he started taking a creative writing course at Main Line Night School to be with his wife Lois while she took tennis classes.

"As an assignment, I wrote a short detective story involving a blind professor as the sleuth," Dobbyn says on his website. "By some miracle, it sold to Mike Shayne’s Mystery Magazine. That set the hook."
His first book, Neon Dragon, was published in 2007 and Dobbyn has since published four more novels, including Fatal Odds.
