Trash Old Medications April 28 At Tredyffrin Police Department

April 28 is National Drug Take Back Day and police in Tredyffrin will be participating in the nationwide initiative.

BERWYN, PA – Saturday, April 28 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and police in Tredyffrin Township are joining the nationwide efforts.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tredyffrin Township Police Community Policing Unit will be on hand in the lobby of the police department to help residents trash their old medications.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is a program from the Drug Enforcement Agency.

The day provides a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications.

Old and unused medications can end up in the wrong hands of those battling with addiction or children and other disposal methods, such as flushing them and putting them in the trash, can lead to potentially harmful environmental impacts.
