Tredyffrin Building Fire Caused $60,000 In Damages: Officials

A fire on Friday at a Lancaster Avenue office building caused $60,000 in damages, officials said.

TREDYFFRIN, PA -- The fire on Lancaster Avenue on Friday caused $60,000 in damages to a two-story office building, fire officials said.

The blaze was first reported at 9:27 a.m. on West Lancaster Avenue near the Berwyn SEPTA train station, the Berwyn Fire Company said.

The fire was coming from the second floor and smoke was emerging from windows on both floors, officials said.

Crews from several nearby municipalities worked together to put the fire out and save the building. The fire was extinguished by 10:14 a.m., according to officials.

The cause of the fire was "electrical in nature," according to the Berwyn Fire Company.

Lancaster Avenue's westbound lanes were shut down during the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
