WALLET THEFT

July 6, Starbucks in Gateway — The victim’s wallet was stolen while she was in the store. The credit cards had already been fraudulently used in King of Prussia before the theft was discovered. The case is under investigation.

July 6, Trader Joe’s in Gateway — The victim’s wallet was stolen while she was shopping in the store. The credit cards were fraudulently used before the theft was discovered. The case is under investigation.

THEFTS FROM VEHICLES

Over the last few weeks, cars (both locked & unlocked) have had items stolen from inside. The areas were Cedar Hollow Park & Glenhardie Condominiums. Police remind residents to lock your cars at all times and remove all valuables.

ASSAULT

July 15, Pine View Drive in Malvern — Police charged Joenuel Ortiz, 30, of Malvern with the following crimes after he was involved in a domestic dispute: Aggravated Assault; Possession of an Instrument of Crime; Simple Assault; Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Harassment.

WALLET THEFT

July 16, Trader Joe’s in Gateway — The victim’s wallet was stolen while she was shopping in the store. There were no credit cards in the wallet.

COUNTERFEIT BILLS

July 21, Rite Aid in Strafford — Store management reported an unknown male used counterfeit $50 bills for a Western Union transfer. The cashier who took the bills did not realize they were fake and proceeded with the transaction. The case is under investigation.

THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS WERE ARRESTED FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. THE LAB RESULTS AND/OR CHEMICAL BREATH TESTING HAVE BEEN OFFICIALLY VERIFIED AND DETERMINED TO BE UNFIT TO OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE SAFELY ON THE ROADWAY.

  • Joel Defreytas, 47, of Berwyn - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was .274 percent
  • [Name Removed], 49, of Devon – BAC was .126 percent
  • Sean Fleming, 23, of Downingtown – Clonazepam, Marijuana, Fentanyl and Norfentanyl were present in his system.
  • Daniel Kateusz, 43, of Havertown – BAC was .094 percent
  • Kathryn Larosa, 25, of Malvern- BAC was .117 percent
  • Dana Lenzoni, 51, of Wayne – BAC was .147 percent
  • Terrance Lynn, 52, of West Chester – BAC was .109 percent
  • Judith Rivers, 45, of Berwyn – BAC was .142 percent
  • Lisa Smith, 52, of Paradise Valley, Arizona – BAC was .180 percent
