Tredyffrin-Easttown School District Inclement Weather Information

TREDYFFRIN, PA -- With talk of a potentially significant winter storm headed for the Mid-Atlantic this week, here’s a look at the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District’s snow day provisions and inclement weather procedures:

The last day of school is tentatively scheduled for June 14.

Make up days for snow days will be as following:

• Day 1: June 15, 2016
• Day 2: June 16, 2016
• Day 3: June 17, 2016
• Day 4: February 15, 2016
• Day 5: March 28, 2016
• Day 6: June 20, 2016
• Day 7: June 21, 2016
• Day 8: June 22, 2016
• Day 9: June 23, 2016
• Day 10: June 24, 2016

If there is a delayed opening, schools will open two hours late.

Early Dismissals are as follows:

• Grades 9-12: 11:25 am
• Grades 5-8: 11:40 am
• Grades K-4: 12:20 pm

Inclement weather announcements will be made by KYW 1060AM. Tredyffrin-Easttown’s closing number is 854.

The district has the following information on its website regarding the kindergarten schedule:

AM and PM kindergarten sessions will follow a modified schedule on days when inclement weather results in a 2-hour delayed opening. Each kindergarten session will be reduced by 1 hour when there is a delayed opening to provide equal instructional time for both sessions. AM kindergarten classes will begin at 10:45 am and will conclude at the modified pick-up time of 12:40 pm. Parents of PM kindergarten students should drop their children off at the modified start time of 1:25 pm. School dismissal time for PM kindergarten students remains at 3:20 pm. As a result, AM kindergarten students who use bus transportation to school will be picked up at their bus stops 2 hours later than usual and PM kindergarten students will ride the bus home at their regularly scheduled time. Parents are asked to make note of the change in the mid-day pick-up and drop-off times on days when there is a 2-hour delayed opening.
