Tredyffrin/Easttown SD Youngsters Perform At Wells Fargo Center
The elementary school chorus opened a Villanova basketball game with the National Anthem.
Elementary students at Treydffrin/Easttown School District found themselves in the center of the Wells Fargo Center recently, with all eyes on them.
The Devon Elementary School Chorus stepped onto the court, home to Villanova University and the Philadelphia 76ers, on Jan. 7 to perform The Star-Spangled Banner before Villanova took on Marquette.
"Our students had a wonderful time and felt honored to have been invited by Villanova to perform. There were many smiles and a lot of energy leading up to the game, especially as the students entered the stadium and walked onto the court," Devon Elementary School Principal Dr. Todd Parker said." They were prepared and took the occasion seriously. I was impressed by their performance and pleased to see Devon's students shine in such a large venue."
