Tredyffrin Electrical Fire Causes $600K In Damage, 1 Injured
A firefighter suffered a minor injury battling the blaze that caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage Monday night.

WAYNE, PA – An electrical fire broke out at a business complex Monday evening in Tredyffrin Township and caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage.
The Berwyn Fire Company said the West Valley Business Center in Wayne sustained about $600,000 worth of damage after a fire broke out at about 8:44 p.m. Monday, March 5.
Crews from Berwyn and nearby fire companies responded to the center and extinguished the flames by about 11:30 p.m.

One firefighter was hurt, but the injury was a minor hand injury and the firefighter did not go to the hospital.
Responders were alerted to the fire after a PECO employee working in the center noticed smoke in the building.

The Chester County Fire Marshal ruled the fire electrical in nature.
Radnor Fire Company, King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company, and Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company, as well as Tredyffrin Township Police assisted at the scene.
