A Tredyffrin man will serve 12 to 24 years in jail, plus five years probation, after pleading guilty to multiple counts relating to the molestation of a young boy 20 years ago, Main Line Media News reports.
According to the report, Lawrence Harold Carroll will also be registered as a sex offender and must attend counseling, ruled Judge James P. MacElree II at the March 9 sentencing hearing.
Carroll was originally arrested in April 2014 on charges stemming from incidents that allegedly occurred between December 1990 and the summer of 1995, according to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office said. Police said Carroll assaulted the victim, who was between 6 and 11 years old when the assaults took place, more than 20 times over that period. The assaults took place in the defendant’s home, near railroad tracks and near a creek bed, the District Attorney’s Office said.
