Tredyffrin Named Among 'Best Suburbs To Raise A Family' In America

The town ranks fifth in the state and 23rd in the nation. Do you agree?

The township recently ranked fifth in Pennsylvania and 23rd in the nation in a “Best Suburbs to Raise a Family” list, compiled by information services provider Niche.com.

According to the report:

“Tredyffrin Township is a suburb in Pennsylvania with 29,426 residents. It has very high home values, very high rent costs, and very low unemployment levels. Its citizens generally have very high education levels and very high income levels.”

The township was given an overall grade of “A+.”

The top suburb in Pennsylvania on the list was nearby Narberth.

New York’s Scarsdale, in Westchester County, took top honors nationally. Narberth was second in the nation.

The list analyzed the following factors for each suburb:

  • Crime and safety
  • Education
  • Access to libraries
  • Community
  • Housing
  • Access to day cares
  • Access to grocery stores
  • Percentage of residents 35-44 years old
  • Percentage of residents 9-years-old and under
