BERWYN, PA – Tredyffrin Township Police released their newest crime report highlighting police activity in the area from July 1 to July 12.

THEFTS FROM VEHICLES

Several thefts from unlocked vehicles are continuing to occur in the township. Items stolen from the vehicles included: loose change, wallets, golf clubs, and other miscellaneous items. Police are urging residents to lock vehicles at all times.

July 1 – A 50-year-old female from Broomall was charged with harassment after she continually sent threatening emails and calls to employees of Vanguard.
DUI
July 1, Route 202 –During a traffic stop, Ryan Bologa, 22, of Morgantown, Pennsylvania was charged with DUI after officers detected the odor of, alcoholic beverage on his breath and conducting chemical breath testing.
DUI
July 2 – Kenneth Turner, 53, of Wayne, was charged with DUI on a bicycle after officers observed him riding his bicycle in an erratic manner.
PURSE THEFT
July 4, Floor & Décor store in Berwyn – Lawrence Leverette, 33, of Philadelphia, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after he was observed taking a customer’s purse on the store’s surveillance system.
POSSESSION
July 4, Route 202 – During a traffic stop, police charged Aaron Peterson, 20, of Coatesville, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.
DUI
July 6, Route 252 – Sean McNabb, 43, of Paoli, was charged with DUI after officers detected the odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and conducting chemical breath testing
HARASSMENT
July 7 – A 19 year old male from Tulsa, Oklahoma was charged with harassment after sending threatening messages to the victims via social media.
POSSESSION
July 10, rear of Gateway Shopping Center – While on patrol after business hours, officers observed an occupied vehicle behind the shopping center. Upon contact with the subject, police detected the odor of marijuana. The subject – Charles Jordan, 19, of Philadelphia – was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.

July 12, Route 202 – During a traffic stop, police charged David Hillanbrand, 48, of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.
POSSESSION
July 12, Lancaster Avenue in Devon – During a traffic stop, police charged Seth Mordecai, 22, of Philadelphia, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.
