Police charged a West Chester man with assault after he allegedly assaulted a Lyft driver, according to the most recent crime blotter

The blotter covers incidents police handled between Jan. 26 and Feb. 5.
Incidents include an assault on a Lyft driver, thefts, drug possession, and more.

POSSESSION

Jan. 26, Lancaster Avenue in Paoli — Police charged Christine Sayers, 31, of Philadelphia, with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia after she was observed to have suspected heroin on her person.
THEFT
Jan. 27, Paoli Wawa — Police charged employee, Julian Strunk, 19, of Paoli, with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after he fraudulently added funds to Wawa gift cards for personal use.
WALLET THEFT
Jan. 30, Panera in Gateway Shopping Center — The victim’s wallet was stolen while she was dining in the restaurant. Fraudulent charges were made on the credit cards before they could be canceled. The case is under investigation.
ASSAULT
Feb. 1, Old Eagle School Road in Wayne — Police charged Kenan Judge, 38, of West Chester, with simple assault, resisting arrest, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and harassment after he assaulted the Lyft driver while she was driving.
THEFTS FROM VEHICLES
Feb. 4, Valley Fair parking lot on West Swedesford Road and St. Isaac Jogues church parking lot on Walker Road — Three vehicles had windows smashed and belongings stolen from inside the vehicles. Items included laptops, backpack and a work bag. Police remind residents not to leave any valuables in vehicles.
PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS
Feb. 5, Paoli Place Apartments in Paoli — Police charged a 43-year-old male from Malvern with harassment and public drunkenness after he approached and grabbed the arms of the victim and their child.
THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS WERE ARRESTED FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. THE LAB RESULTS AND/OR CHEMICAL BREATH TESTING HAVE BEEN OFFICIALLY VERIFIED AND DETERMINED TO BE UNFIT TO OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE SAFELY ON THE ROADWAY.
- Gregory Leblanc, 56, of West Chester - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was .103 percent
- Mark McMackin, 70, of Phoenixville - BAC was .126 percent
- Stacey Weikel, 35, of Malvern - BAC was .181 percent
