Tredyffrin Police: Don't Dump Trash At Library
Police and library officials said people are increasingly dumping trash in the Tredyffrin Public Library's dumpster, which is illegal.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Tredyffrin Township are warning illegal dumpers.
The announcement comes after officials with the Tredyffrin Public Library said they have seen more and more items being dumped at the library's dumpster.
Most recently, the library said a mattress was left at the dumpster.

"Not only is this uncool - it’s illegal," police said on social media. "Get caught dumping your litter on public or private property, and not only could you be fined up to $300, but you just might find yourself picking up trash from the side of the road as part of the sentence."
Library director Chris Kibler said since January he has found many items left at the dumpster.

He said he's had to clean up items from a house clean out, an air hockey table, a disassembled wooden desk, and more.
"[J.P. Mascaro ;& Sons] does not clean up this space, your friendly neighborhood library director does (its under other duties and responsibilities as assigned)," Kibler said. "There is a proper way to dispose of your household trash. Leaving it for the library (me) to deal with is not it."
Those looking to dispose of large items should contact the Chester County Solid Waste Authority at 610-273-3771.
