Tredyffrin Police Make Arrest For Mail Theft

Police said the man was in possession of numerous checks, gift cards, and credit cards that were stolen from the mail Nov. 1 to Dec. 12.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A man was taken into custody after Tredyffrin Township Police said he was stealing mail from.

According to police, the man was stealing mail from personally owned mailboxes as well as U.S. Postal Service mailboxes.

Tredyffrin and Easttown police worked with the U.S. Postal Inspector’s Office, and the investigation revealed man was in possession of numerous checks, as well as gift cards and credit cards, which were likely stolen from the mail between Nov. 1 and Dec. 12.

Police are urging everyone in the area to check their accounts, verify there is no abnormal activity, and ensure that any checks that were sent out to pay bills were cashed by the intended recipient.

Anyone who discovers fraudulent activity on their accounts are urged to notify their financial institutions as well as their local police departments.
